Zwitserland komt met zeer ervaren keepers
De European Life Goals Games 2021 komen eraan. Hoogste tijd om deelnemende teams en spelers te introduceren. Vanwege de corona moet Zwitserland nog teams samenstellen, al zijn enkele deelnemers al wel bekend. We spraken met begeleider Christian Mueller.
“We zijn nog volop aan het scouten hier. Dat is ook de reden waarom we helaas nog geen teamfoto kunnen laten zien. We zijn nog bezig met de scouting van onze teams, waarbij er volop getraind wordt om de beste selectie bij elkaar te krijgen. Een aantal deelnemers is al wel bekend. En die deelnemers kunnen niet wachten…
Voor de spelers is een evenement als deze een fantastische mogelijkheid nieuwe mensen te ontmoeten, nieuwe ervaringen op te doen en uit hun comfort zone te stappen. Daarom doen wij ook graag mee.
Ondanks dat het team nog niet volledig samengesteld is, is het nu al wel duidelijk dat de Zwitserse teams uit een mooie mix van persoonlijkheden bestaan. Mensen met veel levenservaring, die ook goed van elkaar kunnen leren. Zo hebben we een keeper die al behoorlijk op leeftijd is en ooit meedeed aan de Paralympics. Als schaatser welteverstaan. In ons damesteam staat iemand op doel die al twee keer mocht meedoen aan de Special Olympics, wat speciaal georganiseerd is voor mensen met een verstandelijke beperking. Ik weet zeker dat de ervaringen van deze spelers onze teams gaat helpen in Utrecht.”

Switzerland joins with very experienced goalkeepers
The European Life Goals Games 2021 are coming. Highly time to introduce participating teams and players. Due to the coronavirus, Switzerland still has to put their teams together, although some team players are already selected for the team. We spoke with counselor Christian Mueller about the Swiss team.
“We are still scouting here. That’s also the reason why we can’t show a team photo yet. We are still busy with scouting for the teams, in which there will be trained a lot in order to get the best team as possible. Some of the participants are already known. And those participants can’t wait…
For the players, an event like this is a fantastic opportunity to meet new people, gain new experiences and step out of their comfort zone. That’s why we are joining the tournament.
Although the teams are not fully complete yet, it is already clear that the Swiss teams consist of a nice mix of personalities. People with a lot of life experience, who can learn a lot from each other. For example, we have a keeper who is quite old and once participated in the Paralympics. As an ice skater, that is. In our women’s team there is someone who has already been allowed to participate in the Special Olympics twice, which is especially organized for intellectual disabled people. I am sure that the experiences of these players will help our teams in Utrecht.”
