Which side-event will you join?

Football will be the main sport during the European Life Goals Games, but besides that we will host several side-events you can sign up for. These are workshops in, among others that don’t require any registration, kickboxing, skating, capoeira, basketball and table tennis! Scroll below to sign up for them. You can just step by for a game of urban Chess or Kubbs.

Citywalk Utrecht

Citywalk Utrecht

This city walk was set up especially for the European Life
Goals Games, in collaboration with SportUtrecht. During this walk you will pass inspiring places through Utrecht and we will show you some history of Utrecht. With this City Walk, we also want to show the social impact of Utrecht on this route. You have a choice of two walks, a longer route and a shorter one. Attached you find the City Walk we created for you, have fun!

Kickboxing

Kickboxing

Kickboxing, one of the sports on the rise at the moment. The martial art in which both hands and legs may be used has its origins in Japan and the United States. Unlike boxing, kick movements can also be made here from sports such as karate and taekwondo. But don’t worry, at the European Life Goals Games we will introduce you to this sport in an accessible way. So no knockouts! Are you excited? Then register at one of the times below. Skating

Skating

During this workshop in skating, you are thought the basics of skating. Protection and a skateboard are provided, but feel free to bring your own equipment if you want to. Please note, registrations are on the basis of first come, first served. Only 15 people can participate per workshop, full is full!

Capoeira

Capoeira

Capoeira is a Brazilian martial art which finds its roots in Africa. This martial art combines fighting techniques with acrobatic moves, music and dance elements. During the workshop, you are thought the basics of capoeira! Please note, registrations are on the basis of first come, first served. Only 12 people can participate per workshop, full is full!

Basketball

Basketball

A workshop and mini tournament 3×3 basketball will also be present during the event. In the first part of the workshop, you will learn exactly how 3×3 basketball works, as it is different from regular basketball. After that, there will be a small tournament to apply your learned skills. You can sign up with a team, which consists of a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 players. There are two possibilities, the advanced category, where you have experience with 3×3 or amateur, where you still have to learn how 3×3 basketball works exactly. Table tennis

Although you can also enjoy a game of table tennis during the event whenever you want, we also offer 2 workshops to learn the basics of table tennis. The workshop on Saturday is given by our fanatical participants of our local program Life Goals Apeldoorn. All materials are provided, but if you have your own bat you can bring it with you!
