Team Roemenië zou wel eens voor de prijzen kunnen gaan
Opgepast: het Roemeense damesteam bestaat uit zeven jonge vrouwen die bijzonder fit ogen, er zin in hebben en wel eens hoge ogen kunnen gooien op de European Life Goals Games in Utrecht. We spraken kort met begeleidster Mihai Rosus.
“Ons team bestaat uit fantastische vrouwen die allen een moeilijke tijd hebben gekend, maar we kracht hebben om de obstakels die het leven opgooit te nemen. We hebben ons ingeschreven omdat we graag contact willen maken met andere teams en ervaring willen opdoen in een ander land.
Onze kracht? Zonder twijfel de teamgeest. De meiden gaan voor elkaar door het vuur. Ze hebben ook veel meegemaakt in hun leven. Zo hebben we Mariana. Haar ouders hebben haar bij een weeshuis achtergelaten. Het gemis van ouders heeft tot een gebrek aan zelfrespect geleid. Ze is misbruikt, maar ze is ook sterk en heeft met de hulp van andere mensen de knop weten om te zetten.
De meiden van ons team hebben ruim een jaar niet kunnen voetballen vanwege corona, maar dat maakt de honger naar de bal alleen maar groter. Go Romania!”

Team Romania could go for the prizes
Attention: the Romanian women’s team consists of seven young women who look particularly fit, who are looking forward to it and who could score highly at the European Life Goals Games in Utrecht. We spoke briefly with supervisor Mihai Rosus.
“Our team is made up of amazing women who have all gone through difficult times, but we have the strength to overcome the obstacles that life throws. We signed up because we would like to connect with other teams and gain experience in another country.
Our strength? Without a doubt our teamspirit. The girls go through fire for each other. They have also been through a lot in their lives. We have Mariana for instance. Her parents left her at an orphanage. The absence of parentshas led to a lack of self-esteem. She has been abused, but she is also strong and with the help of other people, she has turned the switch.
The girls of our team haven’t been able to play football for over a year because of corona, but that only makes the hunger for the ball bigger. Go Romania!”
